Once you reach Route #413 you have arrived on the "Road to Happiness." This route leads to one place… Rincón, Puerto Rico! The town is located on the western coast of Puerto Rico with the Atlantic Ocean to the north and the Caribbean Sea to the south.
Rincón merges relaxed surfing culture with a safe family environment. The beaches, restaurants, and local hangouts welcome visitors and locals alike. Vegetarian and vegan options can be found at many restaurants and markets around town. Every night, Rincón lives up to its reputation as the “town of beautiful sunsets.” If you stay long enough you will quickly realize each sunset is more impressive than the last.
Rincón boasts over a dozen world-class surf beaches recognized around the globe. Surf season runs from November through April. Rincón hosts the Corona Surf Classic and the Legend Surf Classic every year bringing surfers from around the globe. Pros can tackle waves up to 25 feet and beginners may choose to attend one of the many premier surf schools.
Not a surfer? With 8 miles of small, distinct beaches, Rincón has the kind of beach for every preference. Closer to town, the local public beach and Doña Lala Beach boasts crystal blue, tranquil waters year-round. In addition, visitors can enjoy a range of activities from hiking, horseback riding and day trips to local attractions like waterfalls, zip lining and caves, to yoga, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing and fishing. There is something for everyone in Rincón!
From May through October you will find that all the beaches in Rincón are calm and suitable for all level of swimmers including the beaches that are walking distance from our vacation rental, The Beach Pad. It’s also a more low-key time of year for those who want to disconnect from it all. Whatever time of year you choose, all you need to bring are your flip-flops and casual beachwear to enjoy our warm days and cool nights.
