What You Need to Know
U.S. citizens do not need a passport to travel to Puerto Rico. Only a driver's license or another valid form of photo ID is needed to enter the country.
No! Spanish is the official language of Puerto Rico, but the local restaurants, bars and shops have bilingual staff who are fluent in English. Most locals around town speak English and are happy to engage in conversation!
The official currency in Puerto Rico is the US dollar. U.S. currency is accepted throughout the island.
Check-in begins at 3PM and check-out is 11AM. Self-check in gives you the freedom to check in upon arrival! Be sure to check your arrival time. Many flights arrive in the overnight hours, if you are arriving in the overnight flight, you will need to book the night before to ensure check-in upon arrival.

Aguadilla Airport (BQN) is approximately a 35 minute drive and is serviced by Jet Blue, United and Spirit Airlines.
The San Juan Airport (SJU) has the most flights and airline carriers. Drive time from San Juan to Rincón is approximately 2.5 hours, or you can take an 8-passenger Cape Air airplane from San Juan to Mayaguez Airport. Mayaguez Airport (MAZ) is about a 25 minute drive to The Beach Pad.

We recommend guests rent a car if they want the freedom to explore all of the beautiful beaches in the surrounding areas and have easy airport access.

If you prefer not to rent a car, you can enjoy the local beach and many resturants within walking distance.

From San Juan Airport, you can also request an Uber or hire a taxi from the airport. It’s important to note, Ubers are not available throughout the island in a consistent manner.

We have keyless entry using a unique code you will use to unlock the door. Three days before you arrive, we will send you a message with esential information including your door access code, directions, wifi password and more. If by any chance technology fails us and your code is not working, simply give us a call and we will give you access to the physical key stored in a lockbox at your door.
Yes, there is one complimentary parking space assigned to each unit. There is also free street parking. If you are renting the full property you can fit 5-6 vehicles on the property.
Rincón has it all! Surf lessons, stand up paddle boarding, whale watching, deep sea fishing, diving, snorkeling, parasailing, horseback riding, art, dining, shopping, yoga, massage and more. You will receive a list of activities with your check-in guide.
The Beach Pad has solar, and a commercial grade generator as a backup for city power, as well as a 1,000-gallon backup water system. We also use a solar water heater. We've learned that no plan is 100% foolproof but we try our very best to ensure no interruption of service during your stay.
There are several entrances to Sandy Beach, the closest is at Tamboo Bar & Grill a short 2-3 minute walk away.
No we do not have a pool. The beach is a 2 minute walk away and Casa Isleña allows guests who dine at their restaurant to use their pool.
